Aggregate Heating System at Charge Point
Heating your aggregates as they are being loaded into a bin is a cost effective way ensure you are able to produce concrete even during frozen winter conditions. Using a direct fired steam generator, the aggregate is heated in smaller quantities as it is being loaded into the aggregate bins, typically using a radial stacking conveyor.
Using this system frozen aggregates are quickly heated using dry steam (212°F to 550°F) created by a steam generator connected to the charging hopper. Frozen aggregates are quickly thawed and heated by the dry steam system and then fed into the normal aggregate bins. The heated aggregates retain heat after being loaded into the bin further distributing the heat throughout the aggregate.
This type of system is economical to install and is well suited for high production facilities, facilities that have indoor or enclosed storage, locations that have shorter periods of cold weather, or in conjunction with a bin heating system.
